6. Etiquette.

Etiquette

First of all, Etiquette is a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior according to contemporary conventional norms within a society, social class, or group. Is the first mark of good breeding and reflects directly on a person’s upbringing. Some aspects of etiquette to consider are: Is important for you to respond to someone who wishes you ‘good morning’, even if it a stranger because if you do not return the greeting, the stranger will feel insulted. If you are in a mixed group, always greet the elders and the women first. Don’t shout to be heard. Don’t interrupt others while they’re talking. Lower the music or TV volume when others are talking or trying to sleep. Do not ask too many intimate or invasive questions the first few times that you meet a person. Always say “please” and “thank you”. Chew food with your mouth closed. Do not put the elbows on the table. Finally, is important for us as college students which remains and prove that we have culture, and thus with this example to other persons.

5. Letter to the President of the Costa Rica.

Friday June 24, 2010

President:
Laura Chinchilla Miranda.

After a cordial greeting, I am writing to let you know some solutions to prevent the crimes in Costa Rica. In our country exist a “Poder Judicial” that provides security for the entire population, which is considered as the defender of the victims or person to which they were his right violated, however, I think that many times this power failure; because everyone known that the crimes here are increased with the overtime and therefore is needed more police, more specialized equipment to reach the right conclusions of the case (namely; show whether the person under investigation is guilty or not), more car for the police, arms, programs that address social needs, to improve the education system for the learn the values of the life with respect, honesty, the laws in this country should be more strict and firm, that the children and adolescent learn in the classroom to be good people, with hopes of improvement in their lives, to understand that however difficult it may be, to commit crimes not solved, but quite the opposite. Actually is very common that the polite and makers committed mistaken; as was seen in the movie "The Life of David Gale" and consequence of this, blame an innocent person. Finally, I think that maybe with these options will bring to Costa Rica the peace and tranquility that is needed.
Attentively:
Mariela Chaves Fernández.

My best community will be considered one of the best places to live. Is a place very quiet and insurance. The weather will be warm in the morning and cold at night. Each house will have his garden, where they cultivate fruit trees and vegetables are used in foods. My community has a supermarket, drugstore, restaurants, stores, clinic, elementary school, high school, mall, trees and a park. Is the place with friendly people, where this people share their traditions, their problems and success, but above all they feeling a sense of community.
