Every new medium, from the written word to the screen of the computer, from movies, communicate media (hi5, facebook, twitter, messenger and others) to the printing press, has had a great impact on the way humans communicate, create, and even think, and the video games are no exception to this. The video game industry had become a multimillion industry thus making it very popular to people especially to young children and teenagers. The video games are a form of the entertainment that indirectly will change the transforming the way that people perceive and interact with the world around them, namely, this games to will affect the lives of anyone who plays it especially the teens. In Costa Rica began to become popular in the decade of the 80 to this day are one of the best-selling products to find a technological age. The majority of the teenagers Costa Ricans (and in general around of the world) that is addicted to play these games; the school performance dramatically decreases through the course of time, this because the students' (commonly boys) interest was put into these exciting games and not on their studies and they almost always show them the way to individual violence and have an unhealthy life. Finally, I think that video games are not all that bad, the importance is to have an organized life where you make a balance between the important things and entertainment, in this case video games.
